If you were out of the UK last week you might have missed the media coverage of the official launch of B4RN (Broadband for the Rural North) and its 1Gbps (1000Mbps) DIY rural fibre broadband network.   3. forgot to mention it was in the village pub, now officially the fastest pub in the country although my laptop doesn’t do it justice. I also downloaded a gigabyte file from think broadband in a minute.
